Foundation of Human Communication (The Skills of Human Communication).



Among the skills that I have learnt through my study of human communication are:


Self-presentation skills
  • This skill enables us to present ourself as a confident, likable, approachable, and credible person.
  • This skill is important to an individual to present himself/herself as people will judge us with their first impression and perception.
Relationship skills
  • This skill help us to build friendship, enter into love relationships, work with colleagues, and interact with family members.
  • This skills are important for initiating, maintaining, repairing, and sometimes dissolving relationships of all kinds.
Interviewing skills
  • This skill enables you to interact to gain information and to successfully present yourself to get the job you want.
  • This skill also helps you to participate effectively an a wide variety of other interview types.
Group interaction and leadership skills
  • This skill helps you participate effectively in relationship and task groups as a member and as a leader.
  • This skill enable an individual to make the group be more informative, problem-solving, and brainstorming groups either at home or at work.
Presentation skills
  • This skill enable us to communicate information and influence the attitudes and behaviors of small and large audiences.
  • This skill is important to an individual to present himself/herself during presentation in school, college, university, and workplace.
Media literacy skills
  • This skill enables us to become critical user of varied mass media encounter on a daily basis.
  • This media literacy include newspaper, internet, radio, and news in television.
